In Costa Rica, we get up when the sun rises, and unwind as it sets. Itβ€˜s the unspoken law of the land we all seem to abide by. This Friday is the Summer Solstice, and as the longest day of the year descends upon us, Indra Inn in Playa Grande is throwing one hellova party. Owners Matt and Natalia Laskowski are inviting locals and visitors from the surrounding area for good times, great tunes, and cold beverages.

Though the party is held at Indra Inn, this Summer Solstice event is a community effort. Belly Fedbetter will be there serving up chicken and vegetarian pinchos. Local favorite DJ Matos will be pulling out all the stops, mixing sick beats from every genre. Don’t for get to bring your dancin’ shoes: Indra Inn has plenty of room to tear up the floor.

There’s no cover charge to get into this party, and drink prices are always low at Indra– 1000 colones for beers and 2000 colones for mixed drinks. And just a friendly reminderβ€”this bar is fueled by cash only.

Should you find yourself a little too partied out, Indra Inn has rooms to accommodate those who aren’t ready to go homeβ€”rent a room and they’ll even cook you for breakfast in morning.

For those who haven’t been the Indra yet, check out the map below for directions; the address here is 100 m north of Kikes Place. If you’re driving into Playa Grande, it’s on the right hand side, just after El Huerto.

The Party Starts at 8:00 p.m. We’ll see you there.

A Little More About Indra Inn

The good vibes at Indra Inn keeps locals and visitors returning time after time. The positive energy that flows through the place combined with the charisma of Matt and Natalia make Indra Inn the perfect place to host parties, concerts and more.

Playa Grande may not have the nightlife that Tamarindo has, but these two are making the effort to provide weekly entertainment. Every Wednesday night is karaoke night. Fridays are Quiz Nights. Put a team together, come to Indra, and put your noggin to the test.

Indra Inn also hosts local and traveling bands. Schedules are posted outside on their marquee and you can always check out the MyPlayaGrande Calendar to see what’s going on. If your band is interested in playing, you can contact them at [email protected]
