Initially the consistent 365 surf was what drew Mark to the area, but visit after visit—a few decades deep, he began to have a keen appreciation for what the area truly had to offer, and eventually became a homeowner himself. Always an advocate for the area and its community, the East Coast surf shop owner is proud to continue promoting Costa Rica and all of its gems, especially Playa Grande.

Despite its reputation for being a small surf community, there is so much to see and do in and around Grande, inspiring MyPlayaGrande to spread roots and become the continuously growing resource it is today.
