Accessible exclusively by boat from Playa del Coco or Tamarindo, a day travel out to Ollie’s Point is sure to deliver near total seclusion and endless Pacific waves. Since conditions vary, Ollie’s Point is highly recommended for moderate to experienced surfers.

Isolated and uninhabited, there are no homes or businesses for miles near Ollie’s Point, as surfers commonly stay in Playa Grande, Tamarindo, or Playa del Coco for overnight trips. It is also encouraged to consider camping out at Ollie’s Point to avoid the daily, early morning boat charter commute and expense for multiple day trips. At Ollie’s Point, surfersΒ can bring a tent or sleep under the stars, only to wake with supreme surf directly at their feet. Campers should note that checking in with a Santa Rosa National Park ranger station is required to camp overnight at Ollie’s Point.
